Today was quite a day for me..
Woke up at 6am..
Had to reach Lower Peirce Reservoir at 0720..
I'm helping out in the Adventure Race Singapore '07..
So met up with Nafisah at 0645 at Tampines..
Before taking a cab down..
Met up with the IC - Jeffrey..
Some cool guy with a huge lizard tattoo above is left ankle..
I was stationed at start point at Upper Peirce Reservoir..
Ran from Lower to Upper roughly about 3km..
Did road marshalling there..
until all the racers from the Sprint category had passed..

After that had transport to Ngee Ann City..
which is the end point..
From there another IC - Jack..
Stationed 7 of us from clarke quay's reverse bungy all the way to Ngee Ann..
I was stationed at the reverse bungy..
On my way there on bike..
Fell down as the bike slipped..
Fell on my back of my hip..
And it hurts terribly now..
Walking, running, sitting with a sharp pain behind..

Anyway my responsibility..
Is to direct the racers to go up the pedestrian overhead bridge..
go down a long flight of stairs..
Turn right and head straight to the next junction..
So many racers but a few did not make it..
But met quite a few nice racers..
Gave them encouragement along the way..
The nice ones smiles back and say thank you..
Others are expressionless..
While others were too tired to say anything..

So after most of the racers passed..
Headed back to Ngee Ann City..
Met Nafisah..
Found out from her that..
There's a shop in Heeren that sells the LittleMiss & Mr. shirts other den NUM..
So made a sprint to Heeren..
Had to make it fast as it was 1705..
And I'm meeting =)) 1730 at Tangs busstop..
And I wanna give her a surprise..
It was a painful sprint with the sharp pain on my hip..
Went to the shop and found out so many different Mr & Little.Miss..
But was unable to find Mr Tickle which =)) wanted to buy..
Was thinking of bringing =)) to the shop itself so that she could choose..
Well the thought never came to pass..

At 1730, =)) has already reached Tangs busstop..
And I'm only going down the escalator..
So bid farewell the Nafisah..
Thanking her so much for telling me the shop..
As =)) would like it..
She ask me buy Miss Chatterbox for =))..
I was so excited to bring =)) over to the shop..
As she usually goes ga-ga over these stuffs..
So sprinted back to Tangs..
As I know =)) doesn't really like to wait..

Was so so happy to see =))..
As I missed her so much..
but the it took a turned..
When I wanted to bring her to Heeren..

Realised how much the trip to Korea meant to her..
Much more than I anticipated..
I was really very speechless by her reaction..
5% angry, 45% disappointed, 50% sad..
Sometimes you worked so hard in hope of getting good results..
but sometimes it's totally the other way round..
Yup it's very devastating..
But we can't have everything within our control..
Many things we can't control..
We have to do with what is available..
And be happy which is very uneasily attainable..

Anyways I'm not someone who ponders about the situation for too long..
No point complaining and pondering and complaining..
It still doesn't change the problem..
As =)) really wants to go Korea..
And is lacking in some areas and needs help and support..
I'm going to give my full support..
To help her achieve her aim..
At least like this I am confident..
That I will do something with all my heart and strength..
And hopefully see something good out of it..
So I've decided to try my best to save $20 a day..
Maybe grab a $1 sandwich at my sch's cafe every morning..
Eat bigger but lesser meals..
Spend lesser also..
Which my dad reprimanded me a few days ago..
Maybe find a job that allows me to work on only weekends..
And I sincerely hope that =)) can go for her Korea Trip..
And enjoy without any worries..
